Welcome Comrade!

Welcome to the website for all Proveldtariat! This site has been established for the benefit of those miners who have become victims of the Bumpgeois, the bumper extortionists that detract from the joy of the game and free time of the individual.

This website will also help to serve the other members of the Proveldtariat including industrialists, mission runners, traders, etc who may be victimized by the Bumpgeois (bitter vets, predatory PvPers, griefers, etc).

It is high time the workers and bloodlife of Eve have a voice and home of their own outside the vitriol of the Bumpgeois of Eve.

For the Proveldtariat!

A New Mining Venture

Image

Retribution saw a lot of new additions to the Eve universe. From bounty hunting to new ships, it was a good chunk of updates, a veritable mix of shiny additions and old mechanic balancing. But most notably for miners, a new mining frigate was provided. The ever sleek (and clearly Homeworld inspired) Venture frigate.

She may have a small hold, but her speed more than makes up for it. Take this build, for instance;

[High]
miner II
miner II
prototype cloaking device I

[med]
survey scanner II
1mn afterburner II
medium shield extender II

[low]
mining laser upgrade II

[rigs]
small polycarbon engine housing I
small low friction nozzle joints I
small core defense field extender I

[drones]
2x hobgoblins II OR 2x Miner Drones

cap stable
1400m/s
2159 ehp

She isn’t a tank like a hulk, but she can move more than fast enough to be able to AFK happily without worrying about bump. Even ganking a Venture can be a bit of a challenge. A miner named Rezard came up with a slightly tankier (but still nimble) mining setup;

[Venture, Rezard’s Special]
Mining Laser Upgrade II

Adaptive Invulnerability Field II
Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction
Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction

Miner II
Miner II
Prototype Cloaking Device I

Small Processor Overclocking Unit I
Small Processor Overclocking Unit I
Small Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I

Mining Drone II x2

A good tank that’s still capable of leaving your Venture moving fast enough to avoid being bumped, and speed+shield tanked to hold off potential ganks. On top of that, it mines 800m3 per minute. For a frigate, that’s not bad at all.

Got an interesting Venture fitting? Send it to us at proveldtariat@gmail.com to share with other miners and Resistance members! Knowledge is power, power is victory.

Tear Bounties

So during my long break in December, I thought about a lot of things related to the Proveldtariat and how to move forward with this group (in between RL work, vacation planning, getting engaged etc). One of the big things I thought about was the Bumper Dodge game I had mentioned earlier. The more I thought about ways to execute it, the more I realized that it was simply a LOT of effort on anyone’s part to record and post. While potentially fun to see and do, it’s just a lot of work.

So, I’ve thought of something a little more fun to do that requires much less effort. I would like to propose the establishment of Tear Bounties. It’s a very simple concept that requires a few screenshots and an e-mail or in-game mail and link.

If you’re dealing with a bumper, and they get upset at you crushing their fallacy laced logic or dodging every single one of their bumps or out tanking their fail ganks, take a screenshot of their reaction in chat! The Proveldtariat will be offering 10 million isk per screenshot. Exceptionally tear filled screenshot chats, you could be credited with 20 million isk.

Submission is easy. Either e-mail the file to proveldtariat@gmail.com, or eve-mail Anslo a link to the screenshot. You can upload screenshot’s at tinypic.com, a very convinient picture sharing service that requires no registration.

If we start getting a good many screenshots, I’ll be setting up a top Bounty list! Your screenshot could win you big and get you on the front page of the Proveldtariat website! I hope to see a lot of screenshots in the future! Good hunting Proveldtariats!

A New Project: Mercenary Reviews

The Proveldtariat is not an easily deterred person. We press on against all odds and all insults. However, we do not do so without information. Power comes through many forms, but one form not to be forgotten is knowledge. Knowledge is key, especially when dealing with the infection of bumping. To this end, we have developed a system we hope to further aid Proveldtariats in the Resistance.

As mentioned in yesterday’s post, mercenary contracts are a great way to strike back at the bumpgeois. However, some mercenaries are less scrupulous than their more professional and reputable counterparts. There have been incident where the mercenary will be paid, and will not do anything. They will, in fact kill the miner anyway and brag to the bumpgeois scum about their crimes.

This simply won’t do. So, we’re going to try something different. I realize I’ve been slacking on the bumper tracker, and for that I apologize. The real world simply tosses things at me and they will always take priority over Eve. I’ll be trying to update the thing over the weekend (especially with the onset of the Retribution expansion!). However, I’d like to introduce a new and much more effective tracking system.

It is my pleasure to introduce the Mercenary Review System! Here’s how it works. Much like Yelp or TripAdvisor, we will maintain sections of review for different Mercenary Corporations and Alliances. These will come along with their own comment section and allow users to provide a score out of 10 with their experience hiring a specific Mercenary Corporation or Alliance. Here’s how to submit a Mercenary Corporation or Alliance for review.

Image

Open up your wallet and check the Journal Transactions. As you’re well aware, this system documents payments to you and from you to others. All you need to do is go to your wallet, take a screenshot of your donation, and submit it to proveldtariat@gmail.com.

Image

this is an older screenshot that I’ve cropped to protect identities, but you know how this works (you smart people you). The far right should not be cropped when submitting to the Proveldtariat so we can see what Corporation or Alliance we’re dealing with.

Once submitted, we will begin a review with alts and third-party systems to confirm a contract was established. Once confirmed, we will add the Corporation or Alliance to a yet-to-be constructed page where reviews will be pending. At this point, it’s up to you and others to play watchdog on the people you hired. Check their killboards, follow posts about them on the Forums and third-party sites. Use alts on your account to follow them around and see what they do. Do they hunt down bumpgeois scum when they least expect it and pop their nice faction ship? Or do they pop miners with the thugs?

Once you’ve collected your data in the form of screenshots and chat logs after a week or two, submit it all to us at the same e-mail (proveldtariat@gmail.com) for our own review. Once we’ve proved the legitimacy of the submissions, we will post any comments you may have regarding your experience with the Mercenaries for all to see. The Mercenaries will either be used again by other Proveldtariats, or named and shamed to deter business from them. This way, everyone benefits from good information.

Unity is key here, as with all things. If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to e-mail us at proveldtariat@gmail.com or message Anslo in-game. We hope to hear from you soon!

o7 Fly Safe. Fly True. For the Proveldtariat.

Retribution

As the Resistance continues work throughout New Eden, the enemy of us all continues to spread propaganda that said resistance is doing nothing and that miners simply do not have the will to fight back. They rant and rave and sputter at miners who would speak out against them, saying in their own eloquent way “THEN DO SUMTING ABUT IT N00B LOLOLOL.”

From Forum to Local, the taunts continue. But I can’t help but wonder, where are they getting their information from that nothing is happening?

a

What the bumpgeois scum doesn’t realize is that not all actions are celebrated with fanfare and chest beating. We focus on action, not the publicity of said action. As the Proveldtariat continues against the bumping infection assailing our homes,  we have grown and we have learned. We have hidden ourselves among the masses and strike out when least expected.

c

Bumping scum will continue to yell fallacies and assumptions, saying none of these kills are ours, none of their losses are tied to the resistance.  But how can one prove that? How do you know who is who’s alt? How do you know that nice expensive ship you just lost wasn’t to someone rather…displeased with you? Case in point, bumpgeois Winchester Steele.

e

Even the most zealot of bumpgeois scum, such as Tubrug1, fall to the power of resistance. Is it a crippling blow that will stop the tide of undesirable infestation? No, not by a long shot. But it is resistance. It is action. It cannot be explained away. Well, it can be attempted, but at that point it’s more comedy than logic.

f

Hatred is a very powerful weapon. Even the “invincible” hulls of the “order” seem to crack under the pressure of resistance. It seems bumper zealot Bingbang Boom had to learn it the hard way. Yet they and others like them continue to preach that the “bot-aspirants” will do nothing. Well, now that we’ve dispelled that bit of propaganda, I’d say it’s time to keep moving forward shall we?

As we all know, the bumpgeois now have an alliance, TWO in fact. CODE. [CODE.] and Zantiu-Braun Corporation [ZBCO]. Both alliances are not exactly paragons of PvP prowess, and as such can and should be targeted for war declarations. It’s really that simple.  Retribution can now be obtained by the down-trodden of the Proveldtariat. One just need to reach out for it.

However, do not rush into such escapades lightly. It is well known that many a mercenary corporation will simply take the money and run should you attempt to hire them. Therefore, make sure to do some research before choosing an alliance. The channel Merc Contracts is a fairly tightly run group of alliances who care deeply for their work and their reputation.

Use it, be polite, be professional, and reap the benefits.

Another topic to discuss is the use of the new kill rights system. Upon doing my own research, I found that most, if not all, the bumpgeois scum have kill rights. One only need to contact the victim and humbly ask permission to use said kill right. The ganking thugs of the “order” also have their own kill rights, but cannot be effectively used right out. Patience is a virtue. If you so choose to use those, be patient. Wait, watch, learn, and see where and when they cease their undesirable activity and switch to activity in their prized and treasured ships.

At that point, take away that joy, as they took away your right to mine.

The tide continues against us, but we are fighting back. Like I said before, any resistance is still resistance. Press forward, and continue the good fight brave and stalwart Proveldtariat.

So You Got Ganked…

So you got ganked because you didn’t pay the mafia. It sucks, I know. No one likes loosing ships (well, depends on what you’re doing with them, but that’s a different story). Yes it sucks, yes it’s ISK lost, but don’t worry. There’s lessons to learn.

First thing first, how do we prevent that from happening again? Welp, it’s simple. TANK IT. With the new barge buffs, and a little creativity, you can fit for tank and not sacrifice much yield  allowing you to mine to your hearts content while being able to step away for a few minutes to deal with the real world. Let’s start with a classic, the Mackinaw.

Image

Mining Laser Upgrade II

Internal Force Field Array I

EM Ward II
Thermic DissipationII
Invulnerability Field II
Survey Scanner II (OPTIONAL: Or trade it for a Large Shield Extender II for more safety)

Modulated Strip Miner II

Medium Core Defense Field Extender I
Medium Core Defense Field Extender I

This is a build I found on battle clinic that I modified with a few T2 goodies. Using T1 gear, your EHP is about 33k. With T2 gear…well, it’s a good chunk MORE. To top it off, you don’t really sacrifice much, if any, yield. Easy enough that any belligerent could do it (of course they’re too busy being undesirables to bother).

Another, and…slightly more hilarious idea, is to forgo mining in barges. Yes, I said it. OTHER SHIPS CAN MINE AND MINE WELL! Behold!

Image

Yes, it is an Apocalypse-class Battleship. Yes, it is set to mine. Yes, it will make you stupid amounts of ISK.

Lows: Expanded Cargo Hold II x3, Co-Processor II x3, Mining Laser Upgrade II

Mediums: Large Shield Extender II, Kinetic Deflection Amplifier II, Thermic Dissipation Amplifier II, Survey Scanner II OR some other tank

Highs: Miner II x8

You’ll need a CPU implant to make it work but hey, it’s worth the Battleship tank and Exhumer/Barge yield. You can opt out of the Low Slots as they are and fit those for Armor Tank if you’d like as well. There’s a holy rule in PvP that thou shalt not Tank Shield and Armor lest you risk the wrath of ridicule…but this isn’t PvP, so it doesn’t count!

Through Eve’s history, a lot of people have mined in Battleships to stay safe from ganks. Do some research and check out what Battleship could solve your “order” problems!

I also found a neat little thread located here that gave a few good builds for those miners. Your best offense against the bumpgeois scum is a solid defense. Tank those ships and enjoy playing the game YOUR way, and not the way of some sociopath.

The Rumors of Our Death Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

We’re still around, we’re still watching, we’re still learning. We have not given up on hindering the people preventing you from playing your game your way.

But real life must come before a game, despite passion of said game. Families need cared for, jobs need completed, things need written, and lives need lived. In the case of stopping the bumpers, patience is a virtue. E-mail us at proveldtariat@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns, and we’ll try to get to you ASAP.

CCP to Officially Address Miner Bumping

Comrades, now is the time to ensure your voice is heard and your liberty of play is preserved. CCP has opened a sticky thread, located here, to discuss the infection of miner bumping in the community. Already, bumpers are entering the thread and using alts to appear as a vocal majority in favor of harassing casual gamers, miners, and PvE players.

Don’t let them do it. Take to the skies, take to the forums, take the chats, spread word to your fellow comrades against the bumping scourge about this thread and ensure YOUR voice drowns out the harassment of the bumpers.

Raise your voice.

Raise the flag.

Stop the highsecution!

The Disciple and The Miner

Bumpers have long touted their “invincibility” to anyone who stands against them. First it was their invincibility to being attacked by weapon systems. Yet despite their “invincibility” as the “protectors” of highsec, they still fit tanks (and poor ones at that).

Now the bumpgeois seek to discredit the ability to dodge their bumpers, claiming “barge’s can’t dodge bumper ships! Resistance is futile!” To that end, I have a story to tell you today about a disciple and a miner.

One day, a brave miner couldn’t take the ramblings of evangelical thugs and their extortionist ways. She called them out on their claims of enforcement.

Miner Rami Meto was not having any disgruntled poorly skilled ganker-turned-bumper alt interrupting her free time, and called out bumpgeois scum Disciple of James315 out on their threat. The miner was brave and resisted any further verbal assault. She prepared herself for resistance. As usual, the bumper thug charged Miner Rami Meto. However, Rami REALLY wasn’t having any of the bumpers crap.

Strike one! Rami used Orbiting to ensure the bumper did not meet their target. She continued to mine in peace. But the disciple wasn’t done yet. The thug turned around and charged once more.

Strike Two! Rami dodged the bumper again as they flew harmlessly off into the void, while Rami’s cycle’s remained undisturbed. Would the bumper try a third time in a foolishly vain attempt to thwart this miners yields and interrupt her free time?

Not a chance! Strike three! You’re out of here Disciple! Rami continued to dodge, and dodge, and dodge. On lookers watched as her yields remained undisturbed and her good times continued.

Rami still showed good sportsman ship by offering the thug a bit of condolence and support for their efforts. She continued to mine in peace as the disciple flew (far) away, dejected, seeking another target.

It would seem failure had a greater affect on the disciple, as they broke their own “code” they swore to uphold and flew off far away, AFK, dejected at their failure. What disciple shuns their own teaching at the sight of failure? So much for solidarity, eh?

But the miner stood fast, steeling herself with her values and belief that she has the right to mine as she chooses, without giving into extortionist thugs, and came out victorious. While the Proveldtariat calls for miners to raise weapons high, not all miners do. They resist in their own way. Unlike the totalitarian regime of bumping owned by the lead thug James 315, the Proveldtariat believes unity is key, and resistance in ANY form, is a victory for all miners, PvE’ers, and casual gamers. We do not tell miners how to resist, we give them the tools to do so. With those tools, they reap the reward of victory and ore, while the bumpers simply reap shame and spite from other players in Eve.

The miner’s resolve kept them mining and their yields flowing, while the disciple failed and flew off into obscurity. Let this miner be a great example to all who would resist! The infection-like bumpers are not invincible in any stretch of the word. Any form of resistance proves that. The variety in forms of resistance compared to the single-mindedness of the bumpgeois is already proving to work against their cause across the cluster.

In the end, what’s better to follow to ensure victory? A united group of peers with the same values and ideals that are willing to fight? Or the disciples of a mad man bent on interrupting someone else’s fun?

COMING SOON. Bumper Dodge!

During my time flying through New Eden, I have seen many resistant miners fighting against the bumpers and their extortionist ways. One emerging “game” coming from this is Bumper Dodge! Much like dodge ball, miners are counting out how many times they dodge the bumpers while laughing at their attempts.

So now, with funding and steam within the movement, we are proud to officially sponsor BUMPER DODGE!

While this is a working title and rules will be reviewed, here’s the gist of it. Each week will be a new contest. To enter, simply record your bumper dodging as proof of your effort. Place the recording on a Youtube account and e-mail us the link at proveldtariat@gmail.com. Each week, we will select a winner of Dodge Bumper should they prove the dodged the most bumpers! Each new winner each week will be give 50 MILLION ISK !

The last week at the end of each month will be a Dodge off! While the normal contest will still run for others, previous winners for the month will participate in an escalated competition. Three previous winners will play hard for the right of the title Dodging Hero! The miner who gets the MOST dodges in this event will not only earn the title of Dodging Hero, but win 150 MILLION ISK!!

But that’s not all! Oh hell no, we’re not done yet. Provide screenshots of eve mails or chat screenshots of bumper rage or tears to us for incrementally increasing rewards! Make sure your time stamps are on too~

1 Screen Shot=5 million isk

2 Screen Shots=10 million isk

3 Screen Shots=15 million isk

4 Screen Shots=20 million isk

5 Screenshots (max)=25 million isk

This is a small supplementary contest we’ll be running on the side!

We hope to see many entrants to Dodge Bumper and look forward to many vidoes! If you’d like to donate isk to the contest as a reward payout, please contact us through proveldtariat@gmail.com for more assistance.

A new page on the website will be added as well to highlight more fleshed out rules AND provide a winners board for bragging rights! Keep your eyes peeled for this new and exciting game!

For the Proveldtariat! o7

P.S. And, of course, bumpers and pro-bumper miners need not apply. We will ensure thorough review of all entrants for bumpgeois sympathy and promotion before you can be eligible for the contest. 🙂

The Manifesto

It’s been a long time coming, and it will always be growing and learning as a living manifesto, but it’s here. The  Proveldtariat Manifesto  has been posted for the use of the working class of Eve, PvE’er, miner, missioner, and others of the Proveldtariat. Read it comrade. Read it and see the danger now infesting our home and game play. See the danger and raise the flag’s of war.

We’ve had a nice long sleep, haven’t we? But day has dawned. It’s time to wake up, brave Proveldtariat. We have intruders in our homes, and we must show them just how “welcome” they are.

Fly Safe, and Fly True Comrade o7
